Find answers to common questions about our bike rentals, tours, and cycling services

General Questions

What types of bikes do you offer for rent?
We offer a comprehensive selection including mountain bikes for trail adventures, hybrid bikes for city exploration, electric bikes for effortless cruising, and premium road bikes for long-distance riding. All our bikes are regularly maintained and professionally serviced to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance?
While we accept walk-ins when bikes are available, we strongly recommend making reservations especially during peak seasons (spring and fall) and for weekend rentals. This ensures we have the right bike size and type ready for you. You can book online or call us directly to reserve your preferred bike and pickup time.
What are your rental hours and location?
We're located at 6134 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205. Our rental hours are Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Extended hours are available during summer months. We offer convenient parking and easy access to multiple trail systems right from our location.
Can I rent multiple bikes at once?
Absolutely! We cater to groups of all sizes, from families to corporate team building events. For groups of 5 or more bikes, we offer special group rates and can arrange for guided tours or route planning assistance. Contact us in advance for group bookings to ensure availability.
Do you deliver bikes to hotels or other locations?
Yes, we provide delivery services within the Mesa area for your convenience. Delivery fees vary based on distance and number of bikes. We can deliver to hotels, vacation rentals, and other locations. Advance notice of 24 hours is required for delivery arrangements.

Rental Policies

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds for cancellations made 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of pickup receive a 50% refund. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable, but we can apply the amount as credit toward a future rental if you provide at least 4 hours notice. Weather-related cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and cash. For rentals over $200, we require a credit card for the security deposit. We also accept digital payments through PayPal and Apple Pay for your convenience.
Is a deposit required for bike rentals?
Yes, we require a security deposit which varies based on the type of bike rented. Most standard bikes require a $100 deposit, while premium and electric bikes require a $200 deposit. The deposit is held on your credit card and released within 3-5 business days after the bike is returned in good condition.
What happens if the bike gets damaged during my rental?
We understand that minor wear and tear is normal during cycling. However, for significant damage beyond normal use, we may charge repair fees. We recommend purchasing our optional damage protection coverage for $10 per day, which covers most accidental damage. Our staff will inspect the bike before and after each rental to document any pre-existing conditions.
Can I return the bike after hours?
Our standard return time is during business hours. For after-hours returns, we offer a secure lockbox system with advance arrangement. There's a $15 after-hours return fee to cover additional security and processing. Please contact us if you need to arrange an after-hours return.

Safety and Equipment

Are helmets required and provided?
Helmets are required by law for riders under 18 and strongly recommended for all riders. We provide complimentary high-quality helmets with every rental at no extra charge. We have various sizes available and our staff will help you find the perfect fit. You're welcome to bring your own helmet if it meets safety standards.
What safety equipment is included with rentals?
Every rental includes a helmet, water bottle, basic repair kit (with spare tube, tire levers, and CO2 cartridge), and a bike lock. We also provide reflective safety vests for low-light conditions and detailed route maps for popular cycling areas. Our staff will go over basic safety procedures and local traffic laws before you head out.
Do you offer bike fitting services?
Yes, our experienced staff provides basic bike fitting to ensure proper saddle height, handlebar reach, and overall comfort. For more advanced fitting needs, we can recommend local professional bike fitting services. Proper bike fit is crucial for comfort and injury prevention, especially on longer rides.
What should I wear for cycling in Mesa?
We recommend moisture-wicking clothing, comfortable athletic shoes that can clip into pedals (or sturdy sneakers), and layers for changing temperatures. In warmer months, lightweight, breathable clothing and sun protection are essential. During cooler months, consider arm warmers and a light jacket. Always dress for the weather conditions you'll encounter on your ride.
Are there any age or height restrictions for bike rentals?
We rent to riders aged 16 and older with parental consent for those under 18. For safety reasons, riders should be at least 5 feet tall for standard adult bikes. We can accommodate younger or smaller riders with appropriate bike types and safety equipment - please contact us to discuss options for younger cyclists.

Tours and Guided Experiences

Do I need to be an experienced cyclist to join a tour?
Not at all! We offer tours for all skill levels, from beginner-friendly neighborhood rides to advanced mountain trail excursions. Our guides will match you with an appropriate group based on your experience and fitness level. We believe cycling should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of skill level.
What's included in the tour price?
Tour prices include bike rental (if needed), helmet, water bottle, guide services, and basic snacks. Some tours may include additional items like lunch, entrance fees to attractions, or special equipment. Detailed inclusions are provided for each specific tour. We recommend checking the individual tour description for complete information.
How many people are in each tour group?
We keep our tour groups small to ensure safety and quality experience. Most tours have 4-8 participants maximum, with a minimum of 2 people required for most tours to run. Private tours can be arranged for larger groups or special occasions. Smaller groups allow for personalized attention and flexible pacing.
What happens if the weather is bad on tour day?
Safety is our top priority. We monitor weather conditions closely and will cancel or reschedule tours if conditions become unsafe. In case of cancellation, you can choose a full refund or reschedule for another date with no penalty. We recommend booking flexible travel dates during monsoon season (July-September).
Can tours be customized for special occasions?
Absolutely! We love creating custom experiences for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate team building, and other special events. We can customize routes, add special stops, provide catering, or create themed rides. Contact us with your ideas and we'll help bring your vision to life.
